Can I charge my electric vehicle with a 3-pin plug?

You may have been provided with a 3-pin charging cable from your car dealership.

Although charging is possible by plugging into a standard 3-pin plug at home, this is the slowest option available and can take up to 38 hours to fully charge your EV's battery.

There is also the issue of safety, since there is also a constant load placed on the plug. This can pose a danger if left for a long period of time.
