Who are EVMalta?

EVMalta's mother company, Solar Solutions Ltd, was founded in 2005 with a clear vision of driving sustainable change and promoting a greener future.

Solar Solutions have been in the EV charging industry since the first electric cars were introduced in Malta.

Our Transition to EV Chargers

Back in 2012, we were awarded the tender to install the first electric vehicle charging public infrastructure on the Maltese Islands, which comprised of 103 charging units. Although today these are no longer being run by our company, the valuable experience we have gained has allowed us to continue this initiative in domestic and commercial applications.

At the same time, three of our directors opted to transition to electric cars. This strategic decision enabled us to gain firsthand experience and insights into the EV market from both a user and provider perspective.

In 2016, we installed the first EV chargers with solar-powered lithium ion batteries. These three car ports were installed in Cirkewwa, Marsa and Ta' Xbiex.

In 2023, we were awarded the tender to install 67 EV chargers to power the electric fleet of the Government of Malta. At present, these are being installed.
